Dear NSLS Family,

Happy National Book Month! Whether you’re an avid or an occasional reader, we hope you enjoy an excellent book in honor of the month. Some of my personal favorites include James Clear’s “Atomic Habits,” Patrick Lencioni’s “The Motive,” and Napoleon Hill's “Think and Grow Rich.” I’m looking forward to digging into some new titles this fall and would love to hear which books have helped you on your own professional journey.

Books are wonderful — not just for the journeys they take us on but also for the learning experiences they provide. This month, I’d like to highlight the importance of lifelong learning — and not just through books!

Here at the NSLS, we believe that lifelong learning drives success. So I want to take this moment to remind you to keep seeking outside of your formal education. We can learn through reading, earning certifications, attending conferences, networking, or even just getting out into the world. Learning can take many forms, and it’s a vital step toward ensuring your future success, no matter what kind of learning you pursue. 

As we enter the fall months (and for some, a new school year!), take some time to consider what kind of education would best serve your goals. We’d love to hear from you — what’s your plan for lifelong learning?
