As Vice President of Corporate and Academic Alliances the past 7 years at University of Phoenix, Collene Bay-Andersen has helped University partners overcome the many challenges they are facing around talent acquisition, upskilling, and employee retention. With her results driven perspective, the entrepreneurial-minded Bay-Andersen is a recognized expert in business processes related to Higher Education with several national speaking credits and advisory specific roles; including the HOSA 100 National Advisory Board, Chapter officer for the Arizona HIMSS, Higher Ed Innovation Advisory Council, and several UOP Academic Advisory Boards.
Her career has focused on business development optimization with a highlight on developing academically driven solutions that intelligently manages and empowers the employer talent pool. As a VP for Workforce Solutions, Bay-Andersen has developed and launched a national Concurrent Enrollment Nursing Program, allowing community college ADN students to simultaneously complete their Associates and Bachelor’s degree including a national Degreed Apprenticeship program. She launched her career with Brandman University in marketing and business development, eventually overseeing Academic Partnerships for Kaplan University and Chamberlain College of Nursing.
Collene Bay-Andersen is a graduate of California State University, School of Business Finance and holds an MBA in Business Administration and Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Informatics from the University of Phoenix. She lives in Surprise, AZ with her husband and has 3 daughters, ages 13, 24, and 25. She also owns a baseball training facility in Peoria, AZ and spends much of her free time paddleboarding, canyoneering, traveling, and riding her 3 horses.
