The NSLS chapter at Westfield State University held its first induction ceremony this spring. Nearly 185 students joined the chapter in its first semester, and 155 members were inducted. With an induction rate of 84 percent, the NSLS has become one of the fastest growing organizations on a campus of 4,800 students.
During the ceremony, Dr. Christina Joseph, a Chapter Support Manager at the National Office, presented the chapter with an official charter. The members of the first student executive board were also sworn in during the ceremony.
